Pocono Environmental Education Center

“We look at the root of the word, “sustain,” which has a quality of nurturance connected to it, and which also invokes a sense of thriving. We’re not just trying to sustain something at a bare minimum level – there’s joy involved in it.  I think one of the things that accelerates change most dramatically is celebration!  People need a little more juice in their batteries, so to speak, if they’re going to become effective change agents.  And to my mind, one of the ways to give people the strength to do that is to celebrate when they take good, even small steps in the right direction.

Friends of PEEC (FOP)
Welcome To PEEC
The Board of Trustees and staff for the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) would like to thank everyone who supports our mission and efforts to provide quality educational programs and experiences for the thousands of people who visit and study with us each year. We will consider everyone who supports PEEC as a ‘Friend’ and eligible to receive benefits.

‘Friends’ include our annual members, folks who contribute to the year-end appeal, event sponsors, campership contributors and more. Please be as generous as you can. Your support is critical in sustaining the quality of programming that PEEC offers.

Barbara Brummer, Chairperson, PEEC Board of Trustees

PEEC relies on volunteer efforts all year long.  VIP's are very important to us and there are many ways for volunteer involvement at PEEC.

Volunteers can participate in regularly scheduled volunteer workdays or weekends.  During these clean-up events, volunteers have the opportunity to select and work on various projects; meet and work with new people or old friends; and have fun all at the same time.  If you are not interested in one of the scheduled programs, you are invited to volunteer when it is convenient for you.
