Program Opportunities

PEEC is an ideal place for both formal and non-formal academic programs, conferences, teambuilding, retreats, short-term institutes and workshops. PEEC staff will design the program to fit your group’s specific needs. PEEC activities can also be scheduled and utilized to supplement your existing program. PEEC facilities are available year-round and design-built for groups of all sizes and individuals as well.

Academic

Individualized education programs for adults, school students, scouts, church, and youth groups can be arranged for one, two, three or more days and nights. These programs combine educational, recreational and social activities that provide a well-rounded experience for all participants. School Programs

Workshops

Public workshops provide both personal and professional development opportunities for educators, naturalists, parents and the general public are scheduled throughout the year at PEEC. Our extensive Calendar of events includes professional development for teachers, Natural History and arts programs. Professional Development for Educators

Teachers (PA, NJ, NY) enrolling in PEEC workshops may be eligible to receive Act 48 hours and/or in-service credit for maintaining and/or sustaining certification.  These workshops offer a minimum of 15 contact hours of instruction for 1 credit. Contact PEEC's Director of Education for details.

Family Programs

Weekend getaways designed for familes are scheduled throughout the year. Family oriented activities include; canoeing, orienteering, natural history, swimming, crafts, cross country skiing, hiking and field trips to local area of interest.  PEEC is also a great place to plan your next family reunion! Road Scholar (Formerly Elderhostel)

Weeklong programs in field natural history and leisure pursuits for seniors (and their grandchildren). Visit the Road Scholar Website or call 877-426-8056 for PEEC Road Scholar programs.

Teambuilding

PEEC staff will lead you and your colleagues through our challenge/adventure courses. Groups learn to work together and build on success or failure resulting from their efforts...promoting self-confidence and teamwork. Teambuilding Opportunities
